Microsoft announced an exciting bit of news for Xbox One owners: When Windows 10 launches in July, anyone with a laptop or tablet with the OS on it will have the ability to stream Xbox One gameplay.

Up until now, Xbox has been the one system without a streaming option. Wii U users can utilize their gamepad to play games on the small screen, and PlayStation 4 has the ability to stream to the Vita system and Sony dedicated smart phones. But now Xbox One may have the best streaming option of all since it will be able to utilize any size monitor/tablet screen and will allow you to continue using the Xbox One controller as long as your in range from the console.

It’s not unheard of, actually it’s more often than not, for there to be a battle over the living/entertainment room television. Often times gamers are eager to play their favorite games only to have their wives watching shows on cable, or their children watching cartoons. Rather than having to wait for a small window to get game time in, gamers can now just stream their games to their PCs or tablets and everyone will be satisfied.

Windows 10 will launch July 29 and current Windows users can opt in for a free reservation to upgrade their OS when its released. In addition to streaming, the OS will bring the full Xbox Live gaming network to PC and have gaming DVR and allow you to connect with all your PC/Xbox friends.
