Microsoft has finally given out some information regarding their next-gen console codenamed “Project Scarlett“. Head of Xbox Phil Spencer was on-stage discussing what we can expect from the next Xbox. This includes 8k, 120 fps, 4x times the power of the Xbox One X, and drastically reduced load times in games.
This is Project Scarlett, the most powerful and highest-performing console we've ever designed. 💚 #XboxE3

We were then treated to a teaser where the developers of the console talked about how the next-generation of Xbox will be the future of gaming:
Spencer was adamant in making the point that Project Scarlett will be a gaming console. When the Xbox One was initially announced, it was touted as an all-in-one home entertainment system. This… didn’t go over all too well with gamers and the Xbox One fell flat at launch. Of course, the original Xbox One had other issues but marketing it as an entertainment system didn’t help. Those behind Project Scarlett are promising a lot with this next-gen console. Only time will tell if this is the next great Xbox we all hope it will be or another version of the initial Xbox One.
Project Scarlett will release in Holiday 2020.
