Xbox has one of the largest libraries, especially for the latest generation consoles. Xbox Series consoles come with backward compatibility, making it possible to play the games even from Xbox 360. Otherwise, the Game Pass subscription includes more than a hundred games, making the games more accessible. Those are significant advantages for the users, but it was getting harder to explore the game libraries. Thanks to the new feature update, Xbox makes it easier to understand which games are accessible in the library.
The games already show a sign about their Game Pass availability and Xbox Series upgradeability on their page. Now, the signs will be shown on their images, which might be a big time saver when we scroll on the games list.
Xbox Will Show Informative Icons in Its Game Library
For example, you’re looking for a fully compatible game with your Xbox Series console. You might seek a game that supports a high framerate or a better experience. Now, the Xbox beta version’s library page shows which matches are Xbox Series compatible and which games are available on Game Pass. They brought a few informative icons; you can take a look at the developer’s screenshots:
Xbox Alpha & Alpha Skip Ahead Insiders: today we’re starting testing of new badges that will tell you if a game won’t launch because a disc isn’t inserted or you don’t have a license for other reasons (e.g. a game left Game Pass, not signed in). Please let us know what you think! pic.twitter.com/kmLQ8fyMfD

The feature also brings badges for disc games too. Xbox shows the games you’ve inserted into your console before, but the disc is needed to launch them. After now, there are badges to know which games are launchable and which are launchable with the disc.
It might seem like a minor update, and actually, it is. But sometimes, finding what we search for is hard, and this little change will help us. A similar feature is available on PlayStation Store; it’s not hard to see which games are PS Plus compatible.
You must be an Xbox Alpha Insider to have the new feature update. But we believe it’s not so far from the release, as it is a minor update. So, what are your thoughts about those new badges?
