An Illinois woman was at a park with her family when they fed some nearby ducks. Unfortunately, they didn’t know you aren’t supposed to do that. They were soon confronted by a nosy Karen who wanted to make her big feelings about the matter heard.
Angelina (@angelinaguadarram2) posted a two-part video interaction she had with a Karen at a park in Pekin, Illinois. Angelica and her family quickly discovered that you aren’t supposed to feed the local ducks when a nosy woman approached her. She was visibly upset about the matter, even though Angelica was completely unaware of the local duck-feeding rules. She started accusing the children of “messing with” the ducks. But Angelica defended her children, saying they aren’t messing with them; they’re simply feeding them.
Angelica tells the woman she isn’t going to talk to her anymore, saying, “You can’t control your emotions.” The Karen tells her she “can control her emotions” because if she couldn’t, she would “hit” Angelica. Angelica looks shocked, asking, “So you wanna hit me? Go ahead. Hit me.” The woman says she’s using her “self-control” to not hit Angelica for feeding the ducks.
The Karen tells Angelica that her children are holding fruit that the ducks aren’t allowed to have. But Angelica stopped caring at this point after all the threats. She urges the Karen to “call the cops” about it instead if she has a problem. The Karen explains, “I don’t feel the need to call the cops. I just need you to deal with your kids.”
Commenters were primarily appalled by how the nosy woman handled the situation. They came to Angelica’s defense, as well as her children’s. Good for you.” Another commenter stated, “Girl, the fact that you remained calm bothered her even more.” Other commenters shared that the Karen should have kept all those feelings to herself in this situation, instead of starting a bigger problem. One shared, “People need to mind their business.”
