Today on the three-year-birthday of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, a player has released an image that tells us we won’t be able to play the game in the future. However, this date is so far out that we will most likely have a new Animal Crossing game to play in its place of it, so don’t stress too much. There will be more islands for us to decorate.
A Player Time Travels To The End – Animal Crossing in 40 Years
It seems that players won’t be able to play Animal Crossing: New Horizons after the year 2060 (40 years), after a Redditor, AdTrue4863, shared an image after tweaking the date in the settings on the Nintendo Switch console. So, 2060 is in 40 years, so by then, we will definitely have some new high-tech gaming console(s) from Nintendo by then. However, the workaround is very easy since the game allows us to time travel just by changing the date on our Nintendo Switch. We can access our island once again when that 40 years is here, and we still want to play our favorite game.
In new horizons you can’t play after 2061 the game will display that message from AnimalCrossing
So don’t stress, fellow Animal Crosser. We will be able to play the game as long as we time travel back a bit when we are older and sitting in our chairs with our old Switches and want to play some New Horizons. This game is definitely one of the best, and will be remembered for it. The Nintendo Switch launched a little over six years ago, on March 3rd, 2017, and many have been pointing out how it is showing its age with so many other games not coming to the console. This has people wondering when the Switch will be getting an update, a brand new console, which then might lead to us finally getting a new Animal Crossing game installment as well. For now, you can purchase Animal Crossing: New Horizons on the Nintendo Switch eShop.
