A Texas woman was having a night out having fun with her friends. Suddenly, a creepy man approached her, claiming to be her Uber driver. Her alarm bells were blaring right off the bat. So, she decided to follow him and call him out on his creepy actions. She’s hopeful that Texas women will be on the lookout for him and others who use this disturbing tactic to pick up women.

Dianis (@diana_nluca) was standing outside a business in Austin, Texas, waiting for her friend to arrive. Suddenly, a man approached her and told her he was her “Uber driver.” Luckily, Dianis says she was sober enough to know it was all a “ruse.” Dianis’ friend arrived, and she decided to confront the man about his creepy actions.

I was standing outside Mothers Ruin in ATX waiting for my friend when this creep came up and said “I’m your uber driver, my car is right there” little did he know that I was sober enough to know this was a ruse. Once my friend joined I decided to help him become FAMOUS. Women be careful of creepy men. Also don’t follow after them, he just happened to be walking on my way home.

Dianis approaches the man and calls after him, “Hey, I thought you were my Uber!” He turns around and smiles at her, stating, “I logged out.” He lies to her and points out a vehicle, saying it’s his and that he is actually her driver. But she isn’t about to stand for it. She asks what he was trying to do, and he responds, “Break the ice. I like your outfit.”

Dianis points out, “So you’re just a weirdo trying to pick up girls when they’re drunk?” He suddenly feels awkward about being called out and motions, saying, “You can go ahead of me.” But they don’t do that. They tell him they’re going to make him famous. Dianis zooms in so all the women on her TikTok can see what he’s up to. At this point, he walks away from them, laughing the entire time as they let him go.

The video immediately sparked reactions from commenters, some of whom recognized this man. One woman stated, “Omg!! He followed me home after my movie on 2nd Street and it was so so scary!” Another commenter added, “I don’t know but I know that’s not his first time.”

Others offered words of advice, telling Dianis to “call the police” on this man. Another commenter stated, “Lying about being an Uber driver is against state and federal law and he admitted it on camera. Report him!” Another suggested that Dianis “post this on the Austin subreddit.” She added, “They WILL find this man. I’m so sorry this happened and you were able to stay safe!” Commenters continue to share their opinions and experiences with Dianis, hoping other women will stay safe.
