ZAYN‘s long-awaited music comeback is finally here. On Friday, July 21, the One Direction alum dropped his new single, “Love Like This.” The track marks his first solo release in two years, as well as his debut single with Mercury Records. If you’re pumped for ZAYN to be back, you’ll be happy to hear this is just the beginning for him. He confirmed his fourth studio album is on the way. Of course, “Love Like This” is just a small teaser for what’s to come.

With its catchy lyrics and addictive melody, “Love Like This” is set to be one of the hottest summer releases. The track is all about risking it all for romance with lyrics like, “Everything is on the line, but I would rather be dead. If it’s gonna mean a life that’s lived without you, baby. I guess that’s love like this.” Ahead of its release, ZAYN called “Love Like This” a “summer tune” that he’s “very proud of” and “excited for the world to hear.” He also teased there’s more new music on the horizon. “I’m working on my new album currently that is coming soon, and I can’t wait for everyone to see what’s next,” he said in a press release.
Since leaving One Direction in 2015, ZAYN has dropped three full-length records. His debut solo album, Mind of Mine, arrived in March 2016. It debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and its lead single, “Pillowtalk,” also hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. ZAYN then came out with his follow-up record, Icarus Falls, in December 2018 and his third solo effort, Nobody Is Listening, in January 2021.
ZAYN’s new single “Love Like This” arrives weeks after he joined the Mercury Records family on June 27. The record label is also home to artists like Post Malone, Morgan Wallen, and Hailee Steinfeld.

To go along with his new single, ZAYN shared a music video for “Love Like This” featuring actress Grace Dumdaw as his love interest. Throughout the video, the pair drives around New York City on a motorcycle before exchanging passionate kisses.
ZAYN’s fourth album hasn’t received a release date just yet. However, based on the singer’s comments, it can arrive any day now, so stay tuned!
