Zendaya is likely making bank thanks to her new ambassador status with On, but Instagram still seems on the fence about the whole thing. On June 8, the Challengers actress was featured on the sportswear brand’s social media, flashing her abs in a stretching pose as she modeled a head-to-toe On look.
While On likely profited as its latest ambassador comes with Hollywood A-lister status, those following the feed wondered if the company had made the right choice. Some even referenced pro tennis player Iga Świątek’s recent Roland Garris win, suggesting that the brand could have at least featured its other ambassador instead of Zendaya. Fortunately for Zendaya, others were glad to see the snaps. The former Disney star has made major 2024 headlines for her starring role in the tennis movie. She also holds an ambassador status for brands including Louis Vuitton and Bulgari.
Zendaya Goes Full ‘On’ In Instagram Promo
Posing from a studio and outfitted in tight leggings, Zendaya channeled the layered trend as she rocked a light blue, spandex crop top worn under a cropped pink sweater.
Stretching both arms up above her head, the brunette highlighted her abs and toned waistline, completing her trendy look with a pair of On sneakers. Wearing her long, curled hair down, Zendaya sported pinkish eyeshadow and a glowing face of foundation, keeping her vibe summery and definitely sporty.
“Fit check with @zendaya,” a caption read. “Looks for everyday movement, styled with the #Cloudtilt. Shop the collection via the link in bio,” On added.
Fans Think The Photos Are Wrong
Gaining over 50 likes was a user complaining as they wrote: “There are 9 posts featuring this actress, but none about Iga, who just won her 4th Roland Garros.”
Even more popular was a reply echoing the thought. “Oh please, Iga just won Roland Garros but Zendaya is still here…,” the user said. In fact, it very much seemed that fans thought that On was putting Zendaya above Iga on account of her celebrity status. “IGA won the RG and you didn’t show custom winning clothes for her. Shame you,” another fan moaned.
Zendaya’s deal with On is a multi-year one. She joins fellow celebrity sportswear ambassadors including actress Gal Gadot, model Hailey Bieber, and Wednesday star Jenna Ortega.
While Zendaya is all over the On Instagram, she does not appear to have posted any permanent photos promoting the brand to her own feed, followed by 183 million.
