What a thrilling ride it’s been. From seeing our Proxies start over as Phaeton to re-discovering their powers, this year has been a rollercoaster in New Eridu. But now, the next adventure will take us to the Waifei Peninsula. In it, we’ll experience a new narrative, visit brand-new and gorgeous areas, and of course, meet the new cast of characters, which we’ll all want to get for our roster. On top of that, Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.0 brings the game’s first anniversary event, meaning there are a lot of rewards awaiting all Proxies.
Zenless Zone Zero 2.0 Launches on June 6
In case you missed the Special Program for Zenless Zone Zero 2.0, we’ve attached the video for the upcoming update above. As you can expect, there are new characters coming with 2.0. Yi Xuan is the new S-Rank Agent who wields her unique Auric Ink Attribute and the Rupture Speciality. This is something new for the game, so Proxies who want to try Yi Xuan’s gameplay should watch out for her when she arrives during the first phase. New Eridu’s diva, Astra Yao, will get her re-run alongside her. She’s an S-Rank Support Ether Agent. In case you missed her, you should consider getting her, as she’s the absolute best support in the game at the moment. Also, Pan Yinhu is a new A-Rank Defense Physical Agent who’ll also join the first phase banners.
For the second half, we’ll have Ju Fufu making her debut as an S-Rank Stun Fire Agent. At the same time, Caesar will get her re-run, and she’s an S-Rank Physical Defense Agent. Both characters look fantastic, with the latter being strong for the meta in most endgame content. Still, Ju Fufu’s abilities look amazing, so if you have the currency, try getting them both.
Characters aside, there are many things coming to the new area, like a 3D map, updates to Hollow Zero: Lost Void, the Gravitational Attraction event that will let you watch movies inside a cinema and obtain an A-Rank W-Engine, and a mecha event that will take Proxies into the Hollow.
A Top-Notch Anniversary Event
It’s been a fantastic year since we all stepped inside New Eridu, and once Version 2.0 launches, Zenless Zone Zero will reward all Proxies with many goodies. For starters, we’re getting an S-Rank Agent and W-Engine from the Stable Channel (Standard Banner) for free. On top of that, all Proxies will receive 1,600 Polychrome and 20 Encrypted Master Tapes. That’s 30 pulls for this version on top of everything else you’ll get as you complete the new story and events. If that wasn’t enough, we’ll also obtain 10 Boopons and the long-awaited new outfits for Belle and Wise. You’ll obtain the latter by completing Commissions and certain challenges.
While we’ve always enjoyed high-quality updates for Zenless Zone Zero, Version 2.0 is one of the best, and it was expected. It is the beginning of the game’s second season and the first anniversary, so HoYoverse is definitely bringing the big guns for this. So, if you haven’t, now’s the time to complete the first season, catch up with any recent events, and build your Agents because our trip to the Waifei Peninsula will be a challenging yet unforgettable ride.
