Earlier this week, Rooster Teeth officially announced they would be adding another gaming channel to their Let’s Play family. British actor James Buckley will be joining the company as a partner with his channel called “Completed it Mate.”
Best known for his work in the British comedy The Inbetweeners, starring as Jay Cartwright, the actor created his channel last year, indulging his passion for gaming. In that time period, “Completed it Mate” has already managed to attract a decent following, currently sitting around 300,000 subscribers.
“He’s passionate about making this type of content as a complement to his own traditional career as an actor,” said Rooster Teeth vice president of partnerships Luis Medina. “We’re excited to work with him on developing that digital presence.”
That number will likely rise substantially after joining the production company giant that is Rooster Teeth, who already have multiple 1 million subscriber channels and partners with more than a million as well. Buckley has already appeared in multiple different shows for Rooster Teeth, majorly Achievement hunter videos like Hot Seat and Off Topic, and will continue to be featured as a guest in the coming future as well.
Buckley will join an ever-growing Let’s Play family, including Achievement Hunter and Funhaus, as well as other YouTube creators – each with varying content inside and outside of gaming – Kinda Funny, Cow Chop, Sugar Pine 7, and LazerBeam.
It should be interesting to see where the British gamer will fit in regarding content outside of gaming for Rooster Teeth, as the company recently started putting on live events – surrounding gaming and nongaming skits – including each of their partners, known as the Let’s Play Live tour.
