It’s finally here! The day that’s been wracking people up with doubt and caution in Once Human. Server wipes and server transfers in Once Human are available now and as expected, they’re confusing. You get to keep your hard-earned items, as promised, but it’s more complicated than that– you need to leave some of them behind, sadly. We’re here to help you with that with our Once Human server transfer and server wipes guide.

How do Server Wipes and Server Transfers Work in Once Human?

So just a quick summary. There’s no pressure to transfer servers/seasons immediately. Servers that are now on their Phase 6 (final week) will still get up to four additional weeks of grace period before they get wiped. You can stay for a month. Why would you want to do that? Because transferring to new servers will reset your level and your base.

That means you can’t farm Starchrom as casually and you also lose access to your endgame gear (not counting Mods and weapon accessories) until you reach Level 40+.

You can still decide to transfer your character to a new server regardless. Hard mode servers incentivize players through increased Starchrom gain. If you do that, you get a total of 20,000 Material Points (transfer currency) so you can server transfer stuff that won’t get transferred for free (refer to the in-game Season Info menu for that).

While that might sound like a lot, it can run out quickly if you’re careless with your transfers, so I recommend prioritizing the stuff below. Also, to preface the suggestions, no, you shouldn’t transfer your Tier 5 weapon. It costs up to 11,000 Material Points to transfer one Legendary Tier V weapon and you only get 20,000 Material Points— per season.

What to Transfer to New Servers in Once Human

Focus on transferring the following items in Once Human if you transfer servers as they offer the most value for your low-level character (and you can use them right away). Remember, you only get 20,000 Material Points.

Advanced Electric Rock Drill (2,500 Each)

You don’t want to bog your character down with longer mining times. So bring your drill. They can be costly at around 2,500 per drill, so it’s best to bring just one.

Advanced Logging Chainsaw (2,500 Each)

The same reason why you’re bringing the drill. Cutting trees is too long if you’re just using Copper Pickaxes. They also cost around 2,500 to move so it’s not really ideal to move more than one.

Alloy Pickaxe

Consider this as a backup or perhaps a lower-cost alternative to the Chainsaw and the Drill it can do the job of both. It’s also cheaper to transfer the Alloy Pickaxe.

Level 3+ Utility Deviations (800 Each)

Digby Boys, high-level Beavers, Buzzy Bees, and Electric Eels are a must. Rebecca is also great here for keeping them all productive.

Controllers (20 Each)

Controllers are frustratingly finite so make sure you bring a bunch of them but do reserve them for Hard or Pro difficulty. While you can farm Controllers again, it’s easy to run out of them.

Cortexes

They also aren’t too costly so do bring them for extra Starchrom once you have your base set up. Ideally, you only want to transfer 240 Level 3 Cortexes because you can only purify 40 per week.

Rare Seeds Like Morel, Aloe, etc. (10 Each)

Certain plants like Morel or even Aloe are hard to find and are crucial for certain Legendary dishes. So make sure you bring whatever rare seed you have. They’re cheap anyway.

Tamed Animals (300 Each)

Animals, such as Rabbits in your base can provide a steady supply of meat without the need for tedious hunting. They can get expensive if you have a huge farm, so make sure to bring pick favorites.

Legendary Calibration Blueprint (1,000 Each)

Since weapons are expensive, I advise you to just bring the Calibration Blueprint as they cost significantly less. You will only want to use them on your new Level Tier V weapons for the season, of course, but they can come in handy for completing your build in the new season.

One Weapon at Maximum

With how expensive the Drill and the Chainsaw can be, I’m not certain you’ll have enough left for a Legendary Tier V weapon that costs 9,000-11,000 Material Points. However, certain Calibrations are hard to find and if you already have it in your old season weapon, then you might as well bring it since dismantling won’t give that Calibration Blueprint back.

Hopefully, you’ll have a few Material Points left so that if you ever need to transfer anything mid-season, you can do so. Fuel comes to mind, but they’re easy enough to find anyway. Good luck out there in the new servers!
