Lupe Fiasco recently took to the internet to tell the world how good he is at Street Fighter. Apparently he’s been practicing. So when Madcatz approached him about taking on Daigo, one of the best Street Fighter Players in the world, he enthusiastically agreed.
Everyone thought that Daigo was the safe bet; he may not be doing as well as he used to, but he still knows his way around a fight stick. The match started with Daigo choosing Ryu and Lupe going with Ken. The first round went the way everyone expected it to go: with Daigo tearing into Lupe and coming out on top. But Lupe held his own and came back to win the second round.
This dramatic volley continued until Daigo was defeated and Lupe Fiasco reigned victoriously. The match was just a fun promotions stunt, but it isn’t every day that we see this kind of match, especially one that ends with the legendary Dagio losing to a seemingly overconfident rapper.
The game is currently missing several features that will be patched in sometime in March. Street Fighter V marks a big change in the series. it will be the first entry to not have Super and Ultra versions. Instead, all future characters can be earned through in-game currency or bought outright.
Street Fighter V released on February 16, 2016, for PS4 and PC
