Return of the Golden Joysticks
This Tuesday, November 24, The Golden Joystick Awards will be available to watch on streaming platforms. Celebrating its 38th year, the Golden Joystick Awards presents recognition for the year’s very best in gaming. The ceremony will feature over 20 categories, with most of them being decided by the gaming public through voting. Along with the fan-voted categories, four critics choice awards will be shown as well – Outstanding Contribution, Best Performer, Breakthrough Award, and the Critics Choice Game of the Year.
This year’s Golden Joystick ceremony is hosted by Travis Willingham (voice of Thor in multiple animation shows and video games) and Laura Bailey (voice of various comic book characters in video games). Musical performances by Harry Mack and Lara6683 are scheduled, engaging in melodies of selected video game music. Additionally, some of the industry’s biggest names are set to appear, though this has yet to be disclosed.
