Regardless of your favorite Housewives city, there’s rarely a cast whose antics won’t make your jaw drop. However, occasionally, we’re treated to something that even Bravo wasn’t expecting … and it’s usually juicy. Hot mic moments have proven to be pivotal turning points in a few Housewives franchises. Although, over the years, many have slipped, not all of them have said things that rock the cast. Here are some of the most memorable and impactful ones.
1. Joe Giudice Calls Teresa ‘My Bitch Wife’ on Shady Phone Call
While the Real Housewives of New Jersey cast enjoys a beautiful celebration for Caroline Manzo’s 50th birthday, Joe Giudice excuses himself to take a call. Though the caller on the other end of the line is never revealed, it’s not so much who it was as what was said in the epic hot mic moment.
“Hold on, here she comes, my bitch wife. She’s such a c—t,” he whispers into the phone as Teresa approaches from the table. “But anyway, I’m gonna hang up. I’m gonna talk to you, like whatever.”
2. Lenny Hochstein Tells a Friend He ‘Might Be Single Soon’ Ahead of Splitting with Lisa
Lenny Hochstein spilled the beans on his plans to divorce Lisa on a hot mic before she knew what was coming. Real Housewives of Miami viewers were shocked to hear Lenny tell a friend, “In a couple of months, I might be single too.”
He goes on to admit that he hadn’t been intimate with his wife because then he’d be “cheating on who [I] really care about,” referring to his girlfriend. At the same time, viewers could see Lisa desperately trying to make the most of the marriage and salvage her family’s future.
3. Barbara Kavovit and Carole Radziwill Call Luann’s Wedding to Tom the ‘Biggest Mistake’
The Real Housewives of New York ladies were preparing for Luann’s wedding to Tom D’Agostino, although not everyone thought Luann should go through with the nuptials.
“I think she has something to prove. She’d rather go through with it and get divorced than call it off,” Barbara Kavovit told Carole Radziwill, who admitted she wasn’t excited about the event during the hot mic conversation.
“There’s so many rumors that he hangs at the Regency still, hooks up with women…” Carole added, trailing off.
“That’s pathetic,” Barbara replied, with Carole sharing her worry that Luann “could be making the biggest mistake of her life.”
“If Luann is seriously having second thoughts, I think she’s making a big mistake in going through with the marriage,” Carole concluded.
4. Wendy Osefo Says She Thinks Mia Thornton is ‘Lying’ About Her Health
Moments after telling Robyn Dixon that she “never” called castmate Mia Thornton a liar, Dr. Wendy Osefo could be heard on a hot mic telling a different story. Wendy then told a Real Housewives of Potomac producer she felt Mia was “lying” about her health scare, which she shared before knowing the extent of the situation, and that she wasn’t falling for it.
“She’s lying, so who cares?” Wendy was heard saying, later adding, “We all know she’s lying.”
5. Lisa Barlow Calls Meredith Marks a ‘Whore’ and Makes Accusations About Her Husband
Last but not least, Lisa Barlow unloaded on Meredith Marks before throwing her mic pack at a producer on Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.
“Meredith can go f–k herself because I’m done with her,” Lisa begins in her rant. “‘Cause I’m not a f–king whore and I don’t cheat on my husband. Her and her dumb f–king family that poses. Why don’t you own a house? Oh wait, you can’t, ’cause your husband changes jobs every five minutes. Fake Meredith is a piece of s–t.”
Referencing Meredith’s promise to have her back, Lisa said she was “offended” by the notion. “F–k that and f–k you. That f–king piece of s–t garbage whore.”
“I f–king hate her. She’s a whore. She’s f–ked half of New York. She can go f–k herself,” she concluded the hot mic meltdown.
