Many play Assassin’s Creed Shadows for the plot, stealth mechanics, or to indulge their weeb fantasies. Others, however, prefer to focus on the true end-game: ninja drip. Fortunately, Shadows has many cool outfits for our two protagonists, but we’ll focus on Naoe first. As the first ninja in the series, Naoe has many armor sets she can wear when sneaking around, and if you want to check which are the coolest, we have a few here for you.
5. Peasant Hat + Protector Onna-musha Kosode

While not the stealthiest-looking, the Protector Onna-musha Kosode gives some ronin vibes when combined with the Peasant Hat. While Naoe will be all about killing her enemies from the shadows, why not have a battle-oriented set? This one has armor on her right arm, a belt for all her ninja tools, and our favorite part of the outfit: the colorful hakama. If you’re into roleplaying aspects, this one fits a more hands-on playstyle when you want to see Naoe pull off her skills during a fight. Just remember, she isn’t as strong as Yasuke when it comes to handling large crowds of enemies. Still, you can always face a few enemies face to face while looking cool.
4. Peasant Clothes + Tools Apprentice Mask

For this outfit, Naoe is wearing the Legendary version of the Peasant Clothes, which you can obtain from Osaka Castle’s legendary chest. The Tools Apprentice Mask will be one of the first you’ll likely find when exploring, but in truth, any mask of the Tools set can work. We put together this outfit because it looks like one Naoe would wear when walking around a town, not trying to draw attention to herself. The half mask is also subtle, and while the game doesn’t have an animation of Naoe putting the mask up, we feel that it fits the outfit without making it stand out.
3. Silent Shinobi Robes + Ragged Peasant Hat

This outfit might be hard to put together because, contrary to legendary armor sets, the pieces for this one come from random drops or chests. Still, it is one of our favorites and the one we use the most. It combines the Silent Shinobi Robes, which is the outfit Naoe has in all the promotional material. We threw in yet another hat, but this time it is the Ragged Peasant variant, which fits the color palette of the robes perfectly. While there is a hood that goes with the Shinobi Robes, the hats are just too good, and we love adding them in as many outfits as we can.
2. Apprentice Assassin Gear

While it isn’t our favorite, the Apprentice Assassin Gear is one of the coolest outfits for Naoe, and one that we had no idea would be in the game. Since Shadows was all about the ninja fantasy, we were not expecting the actual robes from the Brotherhood to be in the game, so imagine our surprise when we found them. To get them, you must progress through Naoe’s personal story and open the secret room inside the Old Kufuna. Once you do, you’ll obtain the hood and robes. And well, there isn’t a real roleplay reason behind it, other than looking like a proper assassin, which is always great.
1. Yurei-walker Set

To put this set together, you’ll need to visit and clear two castles. You’ll need to clear Yamazaki Castle for the hood and then Shoryuji Castle for the robes. Both of these items are Legendary and besides the amazing perks, they also offer the best ninja look in the game. While there are many other armor sets out there, we feel this embodies the shinobi look perfectly. The cape is also a nice detail, and reminds us of Ezio’s armor in Brotherhood and his debut game. So, if you really want to look like a shadowy ninja, the Yurei-walker set is the best option.
