  • Best Way To Farm XP

If you’ve jumped in to witness the development of 7 Days To Die over the past decade, you’ll immediately notice several differences with the full release of 1.0. Besides the graphic changes, there are more opportunities to earn XP and easily level up. In the early stages of 7 Days To Die, as you search for resources and hack zombies, you’ll notice some skill attributes and perks are worth more investment than others. Once you nail down how to farm XP, you can work on adding those well-earned points to the right skills.

The world is dire in 7 Days To Die, but when you’re first dropped into it, you’ve plenty of opportunity to prepare for the worst. Of course, you’ll need to choose a solid place for your base, gather supplies and tools, and hoard everything you can for survival. But that also comes with selecting the right 7 Days To Die attribute skills to get a headstart on everything.

Coming up with a strong starter build ensures you make it to that 7th day in the first place. And you want to make it to the Blood Moon Horde well-prepared. Some of the best attributes to focus on include the following:

  • Strength
  • Fortitude
  • Perception
  • Intellect

Best Starter Attribute Perk Skills in 7 Days To Die

Following those attributes, there are a few perks within each of these 7 Days To Die skills that will help you develop a strong beginning character:

  • Strength:
    • Construction Perks (Miner 69’er, Mother Lode)
    • Combat Perks (Pummel Pete, Skull Crusher)
    • General Strength Perks (Pack Mule)
  • Fortitude:
    • Recovery Perks (Healing Factor, Cardio, Iron Gut)
    • Survival Perks (Pain Tolerance, Living Off The Land)
  • Perception:
    • Scavenging Perks (Lucky Looter)
  • Intellect:
    • Influence Perks (Better Barter)
    • General Intellect Perks (Physician)

Perks under the Strength skill in 7 Days To Die focus on balancing. There are traits to help you cause more damage with clubs and bats as those are your main weapons when you first start. Other perks aid with your carrying capacity so you’re not weighed down and how well you harvest resources.

Fortitude mainly focuses on your health with a resource perk thrown in. Living Off The Land, for instance, helps you harvest better with your hands and tools. The other perks handle how well you can take a hit, improve your healing rate, how well you run from zombies, and reduce the chance of food poisoning.

Compared to other skills in 7 Days To Die, there’s not much in Perception you need to worry about in the beginning. Lucky Looter improves how well you find loot, and loot is always vital.

Finally, we have Intellect. At this starter stage, perks like Physician to use healing items better and Better Barter to get discounts with traders are more than enough.

Over time, you’ll want to expand out to each attribute and focus on a core set of perks. But the above should do well at helping you get started.

Best Way To Farm XP

Knowing the best skills to get early in 7 Days To Die is merely part of building a strong starter character. The other part comes in knowing how to farm XP to gain those skills in the first place.

Well, you’re in luck. The 1.0 full release highlights just how easy it is to gain XP. Your first tip comes before you ever play. While making your world, you can play around with the settings like the XP Multiplier. You can adapt this as high as it can go to gain the most XP possible. If you want a challenge, feel free to lower it.

As for in-game, you can gain XP by doing just about everything. Every time you harvest resources, you’ll gain XP to level up. So, hoard away as long you have the space for it. You can still do things like complete missions, but constantly gathering resources is an excellent way to farm XP in 7 Days To Die so you can gain more skills.

Additionally, don’t neglect the Challenges. They offer a great opportunity for you to both learn how to play and gain experience.
