There is something we feel obliged to share here. When someone vanishes, the first thing police do is check with the partner. Do you know what else the police do? They listen to see if the suspect speaks of the person in the past tense. This often indicates that they are aware the person was killed. When someone is missing, non-suspicious people will not talk of that person in the past tense. Many who know anything about law would consider that pretty damning.
