90 Day Fiancé‘s Natalie Mordovtseva has been accused of promoting an eating disorder in an odd Instagram post. This is a trigger warning for folks who may be bothered by the discussion of eating disorders. First off, we need to talk about Natalie’s physical changes. She used to be a bit bigger than she is now. We fully support people losing weight and wanting to change their bodies, but it needs to be done in a healthy manner. We are not implying she didn’t lose her weight in a normal manner, but her latest post seems to indicate otherwise. The Instagram post has really upset a lot of people, with good reason.
In reality, Natalie has had a bad run lately. She supported a Chinese sweatshop brand, which was just the start of her follies. Basically, people have figured out that if you offer her cash, Natalie will plug any brand at all, no questions asked. On top of that, the way she treated Mike Youngquist was reprehensible. Well, things are about to get a lot worse.
Again, trigger warning for people with food-related issues.
90 Day Fiancé’s Natalie Mordovtseva Seems to Promote an Eating Disorder
The post actually goes along with a picture she posted of herself looking like she’s headed to prom. She does look good in the picture, but it is the caption that blew some people’s minds. In said post, she wrote:
“You better starve, than eat whatever
And better be alone, than with whoever.”
Underneath that, she claims it is love poetry and she cites the author as well: A Persian philosopher named Omar Khayyam. But that matters little. A great many people took the quote to mean it is better to starve yourself than be fat. Of course, people who suffer from genuine eating disorders thought this post was tasteless and offensive. Natalie made it sound like starving yourself is a genuine option, which it isn’t. This is just another example of Natalie constantly lacking self-awareness.
She needs a PR team badly.
