Excitement over the recent release of Season 2 for Apex Legends has, by all accounts, been totally deserved. That doesn’t mean that everything has gone perfectly since the July 3rd rollout.

Some users have reported on Reddit that they have run into a bug that allows them to continue shooting at their enemies even after they have already been “downed”. User Sliv111 was the first to take to the social media platform, posting a video of his character being taken down but still being part of the fight.

The post quickly got quite a bit of attention, that includes from the Apex Legends devs. Those devs posted shortly after season 2 launched, making it clear they plan to be active and involved when it comes to these kinds of reports.

As proof that they are looking into the issue, the bug has already shown up on EA’s “Dev Tracker” board. The issue is labeled as “investigating” which makes quite a bit of sense considering just how new the problem appears to be.

What does appear to be clear is that the situation isn’t a “one-off” while some Reddit users decided to go after the OP for doing something they believed he should have been holding off on, even if he could do it, others were making it clear they were seeing the same problem.

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that EA and Respawn are working hard to quash bugs as soon as they pop up. While the title is one of the most popular in the world, it’s still training arch nemesis Fortnite by quite a bit when it comes to the player base.

With plans to bring Apex Legends to the mobile platform in the near future, the developers are wanting to make sure the game is running as smoothly as possible.
