Announced at EA Play, Apex Legends is set to receive a huge amount of brand new content. This includes a new weapon, new game mode, improved battle pass, and an entirely new 10th legend.

The new weapon is the rapid firing light machine gun ‘L-Star’. Fans of Titanfall should be familiar with the gun as it was an LMG primary in Titanfall 2. It will only be available in supply drops due to how “overpowered,” it is.

Apex Legends’ 10th legend has been long awaited but now we finally know what we’re getting. Wattson, the highly intelligent co-founder of the arena who specializes in slower paced area lockdown. She can place down up to 12 electric fences to shut off specific zones. These gates deactivate to let teammates through but will hurt enemies who try and do the same.

The season 2 battle pass is a complete step up to its predecessor. Season 2, Battle Drop, promises a “new way to play the game,” although exact details on what Respawn mean by this are still unclear. We do know however that Apex Legends is getting an official ranked competitive mode.

That’s not all either. This weekend is Apex’s very first double exp weekend so be sure to jump in and make the most of it. Of course, all of this is coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
