When it hit the shelves in October 2018, Red Dead Redemption 2 was widely considered to be one of the best games of the year, and with good reason. So many meticulous and intricate puzzle pieces within the production were created with long, painstaking care into it that it’s hard not to appreciate. One of those things that was provided with so much time and effort was the music behind the game. The music is atmospheric in a way that makes the player feel right at home in The Old West circa 1899. That and the music is just, simply put, pretty darn good to listen to while you’re ropa-doping dopes on to the back of your horse (say that five times fast).

Red Dead Redemption 2

The music is so darn good that we’re getting not just one, but two soundtrack discs released from the game onto the market this year. We’ve already got one – The Music of Red Dead Redemption 2: Original Soundtrack – that was released earlier this month and is currently available to stream on Spotify and Apple Music. Up next, we are getting another music collection for the game that will, this time, focus strictly on the game’s musical score.

The collection, which will be collectively compiled as The Music of Red Dead Redemption 2: Original Score, is currently available to pre-order on iTunes while some songs can be streamed on Spotify. The full collection will not be available to buy wherever music can be sold and streamed until August 9th. Until then, here’s a tracklist previewing what we can look forward to.
