Death Stranding releases on November 8th and at this point, after all the teases and all the trailers, I have absolutely no idea what the game is about and I’m not entirely convinced that Hideo Kojima does either. I honestly have no idea what to expect at all. The game just seems weird. Classic Kojima.
To add to the weirdness and to celebrate the release of Death Stranding, Sony has announced a limited edition PlayStation 4 console that, obviously, comes bundled with the game itself. Take a look at it down below:
Madness, just madness. The console does look fantastic, as does the controller. The PS4 is a brilliant white, marked with the creepy handprints so prevalent from the trailers. At this stage, I’m not even sure if I want the actual game but I sure as hell want the console, I mean, just look at it.
The Dualshock controller is a brilliant orange color that features the Death Stranding logo across the touchpad. I’d be happy just with this alone. Such a sucker I am for the limited editions.
The PS4 is a 1TB pro model and will retail at the cool sum of $399.99. I don’t think I can quite justify replacing my current PS4 with the Death Stranding one, but for late adopters or fans of Kojima, it could be a worthy purchase.
Let us know in the comments if you are excited for the release of Death Stranding and please let us know if you have any ideas as to what’s going on. Besides an awesome ladder and peeing on stuff, I’m completely stumped.
At least we won’t have too long to wait to play the full game as it releases in just over a month. Maybe then we’ll have an idea as to what’s going on. Then again, maybe not.
