Rockstar Games has announced that Red Dead Redemption 2 is coming to the PC on November 5. The cowboy epic is available for pre-order October 9, first on the new Rockstar Games Launcher and additional platforms after.

This will be the first time a Red Dead Redemption game is playable on PC, with the first RDR only available on consoles.

The PC port will feature updated graphics and other technical changes, as well as some new content to play. For example, the Story Mode will include new bounty hunting missions, gang hideouts and more.

Those interested in Red Dead Online will also see new changes, with frontier pursuits missions and specialist roles to play through.

If you pre-order Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC through the Rockstar Games Launcher, it will come with exclusive bonuses.  If you pre-order between October 9 and 22, your pre-order will come with two free Rockstar Games titles.

The games in the promotion include:

  • Grand Theft Auto III
  • Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
  • Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
  • Bully: Scholarship Edition
  • L.A. Noire: The Complete Edition
  • Max Payne 3: The Complete Edition

Other pre-order bonuses include the Outlaw Survival Kit and War Horse for Story Mode and 50 gold bars for Red Dead Online.

Where Else Can I Get Red Dead Redemption 2?

In addition to the Rockstar Games Launcher, you can pre-order on October 23 in the Epic Games Store, Greenman Gaming, the Humble Store and Gamestop. Pre-ordering from those retailers comes with a bonus of 25 gold bars for Red Dead Online.

Those hoping to play on Steam will have to wait a little longer, as it will become available in December.

Given how celebrated the PC release of Grand Theft Auto 5 was, there seems like no reason to question the quality of the port. Do expect to have a lot of storage space ready, as Red Dead Redemption 2 currently sits at over 100 GBs on PlayStation 4.

No system specifications have been announced, but Rockstar has said they will have more to say on October 9. To learn more about Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC and more go to rockstargames.com.
