A teaser trailer for Season 2 of The Boys has just dropped. And while it’s only a little over a minute long, it packs a lot into that small window. The teaser features no dialogue. Instead, Let Me Live/Let Me Die by Des Rocs plays throughout, an appropriately frantic rock song for the bombardment of images we receive. We’re treated to a plethora of blood-soaked faces, middle fingers, nasty gore, Homelander drinking what appears to be breast milk, and many other darkly hilarious elements fans have come to expect from the show. You can check it out below.

If you’ve read the comics from Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, you’ll probably recognize some scenes above. But for the rest of us, there are still some tantalizing images. We can see that Stan Edgar, played by Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad), will return. The founder of Vought appeared briefly in Season 1. But he’s expected to play a much more prominent role in Season 2.
Season 2 will bring a handful of new characters, as well. One will be played by comedian Patton Oswalt, though it is unclear who he’ll play, and he doesn’t appear in the trailer. However, we do catch a glimpse of a powerful psychic at the 0:51 mark.
The Boys follows a group of misfit vigilantes who go up against a group of government-funded superheroes who have become corrupted by the power they possess. It stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Laz Alonso, Tomer Capon, and Karen Fukuhara as the titular group. Other cast members include Anthony Starr, Chase Crawford, Erin Moriarty, and Simon Pegg.
The first season was critically acclaimed and became one of Amazon’s most-watched shows almost instantly. It flipped the superhero genre on its head and delivered pitch-black comedy. So, it’s safe to say that fans absolutely crave more.
But what do you think of the trailer? Sound off in the comments below.
