Panache Digital Games has just released its new title Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey on PS4 and Xbox One. The game previously released on PC back in August 2019. Players can lead their own clan of early, primitive humans on a quest for survival. Battle the elements and deadly predators as you make your way across the land. Cultivate your survival skills and evolve into a more capable being. However, if your entire clan is lost, you must start over from the beginning of the game so make your choices wisely!
Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey: Paving the Way for Mankind’s Future
Players take control of an ape-man and explore the surrounding environment. Climb trees and swing from vines to cover ground more quickly. As you traverse the land, you will find items that can be gathered for later use. For example, you can fashion a stick into a spear. You may also find flora than can help prevent disease.
One of the most important things in Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is legacy. Generational time-skips occur throughout the game. As the old generation dies, the next one rises to take its place. Players can pass down skills to help the next generation thrive. Then, your characters can learn more skills and pass those down as well.
The game is the brainchild of Patrice Désilets, the original creative director behind the Assassin’s Creed franchise. He is now Co-Founder and Creative Director of Panache Digital Games. With Ancestors, Désilets has created a game where the player truly has control over their direction in life.
“Ancestors is very much a story that is co-written by the player. We created a world in which you are free to explore and develop this narrative that you control. It’s intentionally challenging, and we give players great freedom to explore and learn on their own, which makes each discovery and accomplishment incredibly rewarding.”
Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is available now on PS4 and Xbox One consoles. Experience a vivid perspective of early man’s survival and lead your people into a prosperous future.
