Embr is a new firefighter themed title by Muse Games. Published on May 21 by Curve Digital, the game is a different take on the theme of fighting fires. Instead of your traditional dedicated firefighters, this title makes cash the biggest goal. What will you do when there’s money to be made and people to save? Will you go straight to rescuing the civilians or are you willing to risk going for the cash?

Embr

Challenge yourself in solo missions to see if you can save everyone and profit. Or if you prefer, bring three other friends to fight the blaze and help you recover some riches. Whatever solution you choose that wouldn’t normally fly, Embr won’t punish you for it. Need to save someone who won’t stop running? Knock them out with the fire hose? Do you gotta get to the pile of money on the other side of the room? Blast your way towards it before bailing from the building.

Remember that the people you save are your ‘clients.’ They are paying you for your services.

A Word from The Embr Developers

Embr

Head of Muse Games, Howard Tsao, shared why his team went the direction they did:

we also wanted to see just what mayhem would occur if the untrained masses headed out with a hose and tried to put out fires in the same way people deliver take-out or drive people around in makeshift taxis.

The team is also hoping this helps people appreciate the profession more.

Muse Games is known for Guns of Icarus Alliance and Guns of Icarus Online.

You can find Embr now on Steam and Google Stadia in Early Access. Cross-play is also available between Steam and Stadia users. Are you looking forward to fighting fires and making money with friends? Let us know in the comments.
