If, like me, you simply cannot wait to play the Destroy All Humans! Remake this summer, then you got a bit of a reprieve on Wednesday. The demo of the full game has officially launched on GOG.com.
First spotted by Resetera user sredgrin, this demo lands almost two months to the day when the full version of Destroy All Humans! Remake is set to launch. In case you’re worried this is a case of mistaken identity and it’s really a demo for the old version, rest assured, this is the new, souped-up game.
Both free, and small download size, if you have a GOG account, you’ll be able to grab this and go in a matter of minutes. There is one negative to this news.
The demo doesn’t take long to download, because it’s not much of a demo. You’ll get to play the very first missions and check out a bit of the upgrading options that are in the full game.
Destroy All Humans You Run Across
The good news is you get to check out all of Crypto’s powers at the start of Destroy All Humans! Remake. You also get to wreak some serious havoc against the US Military.
It’s hard to say I was disappointed by how short the demo was. It’s a game still two months away from a full release and the fact that I got to play any at all was a treat.
There was a time when the summer was totally bereft of new video game fun. This year is going to be quite different. Not only do we get two AAA releases from Sony in The Last of Us Part II and Ghosts of Tsushima, but we’re also getting this smaller but very good game as well.
Then the video game world will roll right into what should be an absolutely bonkers fall. If you want to wet your whistle, go check out this demo today.
The full version of Destroy All Humans! Remake launches on July 28 for the PC, Xbox One and PS4 and retails for $39.99.
