At this point in time, is there anyone left who hasn’t played Borderlands yet? The honest answer must be no, but if for some reason you haven’t, the first three games are now available on the Nintendo Switch.

The Borderlands Legendary Collection includes Borderlands: Game of the year edition, Borderlands 2, and Borderlands: The pre-sequel. Each game is pretty great in its own right, although the pre-sequel does fall behind the other two in terms of quality.

At the cost of $49.99, there is plenty of bang for your buck, even if you may be able to get the games cheaper on other consoles. With a download size of 12 gigs, it also won’t take up as much room as you may have thought, assuming you aren’t just using the built-in Switch memory.

The allure of playing Borderlands on the go is quite strong for me, even though I already own Borderlands 2 on more consoles than there are guns in the actual game.

For those of you that somehow don’t know, Borderlands is a first-person looter-shooter, and it’s also a lot of fun. Packed full of humor, the games are best played with friends, and thankfully, the Switch version still lets you do so.

Each game can be played solo, if you choose, but can also be played as a two-player split-screen or with a four-person team online. If you’ve never played before, I can promise you’ll have a lot of fun. And if you don’t, I guess that’s $50 you’ve just wasted and will never get back.

The Legendary Collection will also come with the previous DLC’s for each game, although the Borderlands 2: Commander Lilith and Fight for Sanctuary add ons are unfortunately not included.

Whether the games are worth rebuying just to play in handheld or on a separate console is entirely up to you; however, if you’re on the fence, the Game of the year and The Handsome Collection can be purchased separately.

Let us know if you plan to buy these or if you already have them. The temptation is there for me to have another adventure in the Borderlands, although I still haven’t bought part 3 yet.
