We’re talking about Fall Guys again here on The Nerd Stash. One reason is that frankly, we love the game. The other is that the developers over at Mediatonic keep managing to make this indie gem (which is doing really well in the charts) come up in the daily news cycle.
What have they done now you may ask? Well, they’ve employed the marketing power of Brand Twitter(TM) to inject some friendly competition into everyone in Fall Guys, all in the name of charity, of course.
This bit of competitive banter spawned from the desire for new outfits in the game for players to wear. With the ultra-simplistic templates of the characters, there is a lot of space to work with and imagine, and that’s exactly what’s been happening.

Everyone’s (possible) favorite fried chicken establishment chimed in with their suggestion first – Colonel Sanders might be known for his 11 herbs and spices in his chicken, but how good could he be at surviving the Fall Guys Slime Climb?

Fighting game Rivals of Aether also popped up to showcase their efforts by character artist Marc Knelsen.

The suggestions kept flying in, but ultimately, the winner won’t be decided by sheer popularity alone. Essentially, the contest is a bidding war where the winner is the brand that chooses to donate the most money to Special Effect, which is a charity that helps people with disabilities enjoy the wonder of video games.
After the two-week deadline passes, Mediatonic says that it will confirm the details with whoever wins and will also share confirmation of the donation publicly. However, this doesn’t open the door to just anyone. As if almost safeguarding against… let’s say risky designs, the developers followed it up by saying: “If we decide that your brand is offensive/unsuitable, we will yeet your pledge out and pick the next highest!”
We’ll keep on top of the results and let you know what they are. In the meantime, what designs would YOU like to see come to Fall Guys? Let us know in the comments.
