Vigor, a game that first launched in a kind of early access on the Xbox One is soon going to be on all the consoles out there. In fact, it’s going to be on a couple of consoles that aren’t even available yet.
The game’s developer, Bohemia Interactive announced on Monday that Vigor is finally coming to both the PS4 and PS5 later this fall. While there isn’t an official date for PS5 just yet, it stands to reason that this battle royale game is going to be a launch title for the next-gen console from Sony.
The company also announced there’s a special treat coming for Vigor players who have wanted to try it out on the Nintendo Switch but weren’t wanting to pay the $20 price tag. Bohemia Interactive also said the free-to-play version currently available on PC and Xbox One will be landing on the Switch this fall as well.
While the PS4 and PS5 versions of Vigor are coming in November, the F2P version for the Switch is coming next month. It will officially release on September 23.
For those who haven’t gotten their mitts on it just yet and don’t know what Vigor is all about, you can check out the official description below:
In a world devastated by the fallout of the last great war, Norway has become the last great bastion of humanity now known as Outlanders. You must survive as one of the only living remnants of a world in tatters — Fight, loot, maintain your shelter, and play smart to survive your new hostile landscape.
Having played this game before it released fully, it’s a game that will remind battle royale players of PUBG quite a bit, though it has just enough tweaks and changes that it has its own personal charm.
Vigor arrives on the PS4 on November 25, goes free to play on the Switch on September 23 and is already playable on the Xbox One and PC now.
