Godfall is officially a PS5 launch title.
Counterplay Games announced through its official Twitter account on Thursday a fact that plenty in the gaming community suspected for months. The launch date is officially November 12.
As we found out yesterday, November 12 is also the launch date for the PlayStation 5. At least it is in the United States, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and South Korea. Other parts of the world will wait a bit longer, but at least they now know they can get their grubby little paws on Godfall once their console arrives.
Alongside the official release date for the PS5, Counterplay also announced the game went gold. Those in the gaming community know that’s an important step. It’s especially interesting that it’s gone gold two full months before launch. For those new to the term, “going gold” in video games means it’s technically ready for store shelves.
Previously, we knew Godfall was arriving “during the Holiday season.” That was also the launch window for both the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X and Series S. Now we know the second week in November is going to be a busy time for retailers as all four versions of the next-generation consoles will hit store shelves.

Godfall Is A PS5 Console Exclusive
For those of you who want to play the next generation looter shooter from Gearbox, you won’t be able to do so on the Xbox Series X or S. It will be available on PC though.
On the same day Godfall lands on the PS5, it’ll hit the Epic Store as well.
It’s important to note that some have compared this title to the Destiny franchise. While it’s look is similar, the two titles have one big difference.
This is not a games-as-a-service game. No micro-transactions here! All the loot players will round-up is in-game.
Godfall arrives on the PS5 and Epic Games Store on November 12, 2020.
