As is the tradition for battle royale Apex Legends, every few months players get a new season to explore. These are usually packed with various gameplay changes, a new legend, and system changes to keep the game fresh and new. These join random events throughout the year which either celebrate holidays or delve into the backstory of each legend. When it comes to seasons though, this season is no different. Apex Legends Season 7 is now available to all players, along with the game’s release on Steam. You can check out the latest battle pass trailer below, showing off some stylish cosmetics.

What’s in Apex Legends Season 7?

Apex Legends Season 7 โ€“ Battle Pass Trailer

Season 7, titled Ascension, brings along the new legend Horizon. Horizon brings a few gravity-defying tricks to Apex Legends, letting players manipulate the battlefield to their will. Her tactical ability, Gravity Lift, creates a propulsion zone that sends players up into the air. This can let your team take control of the high ground, but can also be used to throw opponents up for some easy skeet shooting. Along with that, her passive, Spacewalk, lets her maneuver in midair and take less impact from landing. She’s the first character to have this sort of thing in Apex Legends, which should offer some good maneuverability. The big ability here though is her ultimate, known as Black Hole. This throws her robot pet NEWT out, creating a gravity field that pulls legends in.

She’s a legend very focused on setup and execution, which combines great with the new map of Olympus. This world is filled with many levels of verticality, in the form of buildings and homes. This is a more suburban take on an Apex Legends map, which should bring a new element. Season 7 also introduces a vehicle to ride around in, so getting around Olympus should be a breeze. These join some gameplay changes and improvements, some of which you can read about here.

Overall, this should be an exciting season for players of Apex Legends. Are you excited to hop into Olympus? Will you be driving around and gunning with your friends? Let me know in the comments below!
