Ladies and gentlemen we are happy to announce that Deadpool finally has a full-length trailer!
Now, several months back we got a glimpse of The Merc with a Mouth in full costume, but it told us absolutely nothing about the movie other than that the costume designer had opened one of the comics (or just been to literally any con).
Many fans were worried that the movie would be toned down to PG-13 to have it fall in line with the rest of the Marvel movies (thus ruining Deadpool’s main appeal).
Luckily, as you may have surmised by the “NSFW” in the title up there, that will definitely not be the case with the upcoming Deadpool movie. Aside from the wanton violence depicted in the trailer, we get a few great, foul-mouthed jokes about our Merc’s appearance (“You look like Freddy Kruger face-fucked a topographical map of Utah”).
We also hear some of Deadpool’s trademark meta commentary (“Don’t make my suit green! Or animated!”). Although it should be noted that–at the very least–Deadpool’s eyes are absolutely animated.
I think it’s safe to say that–although there are always naysayers when it comes to these things and you can’t please everyone–most Deadpool fans should be reasonably happy with this trailer. It promises a great ride of a movie.
Oh… and did I mention Inara is in this movie? Because Inara is totally in this movie.
