The end of the year is closely approaching, and with it comes another small indie title releasing today on Steam. Entitled Mana Gloom, players wield magic in an epic struggle against a disease that’s poisoning the land.
Dark Magic Corrupts in Mana Gloom
In the world of Mana Gloom, a wretched sickness infests the magical streams that flow throughout the land. Anyone who comes into contact with the sickness will suffer from corruption and chaos within themselves. Going near the source has been proven to be quite an endeavor, even for powerful mages who’ve fallen victim to it. All except for one magic-caster, who seems to be unaffected by the source’s influence.
In this indie mana infused action RPG from solo developer Sarynth, Mana Gloom takes the fight to the infected. The gameplay features top-down engagement with a click-to-move system to focus your spellcasting abilities. As the magic-caster, you will battle against hordes of infected ghouls and bosses to restore goodness to the land. In addition, you’ll stumble upon manipulated mana crystals that can be destroyed to increase your power. Coupled with an array of spells and staffs, it is up to you to eliminate the source and become the savior of the people.
From Solo Developer Sarynth
Mana Gloom is solely developed by Sarynth, an experienced programmer who has poured countless hours into creating his game. As time goes on, Sarynth plans on producing more content for the title.
Mana Gloom is available now on PC via the Steam store for $11.99. There’s currently a special 20% launch offer for the game at $9.59 that will last until January 5.
