Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is a title by developer Toys for Bob. Naughty Dog originally developed the first title in the series. But the series has changed many hands since then. And while they didn’t create the original, they hope longtime fans will be just as happy.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time Story and Features

Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time was previously released for current-gen consoles. And while the game is fun, next-gen consoles are being churned out at a steady pace. So it makes sense to streamline and improve the title. Storywise, the game takes place after the N. Sane trilogy. And in so doing, the developer of this title retcon Wrath of Cortex. Players will see classic moves from the series along with new ones like wall running. During their adventures, Crash and Coco will utilize different masks to aid in their adventures. These are acquired during the course of the story.

In addition to hitting next-gen consoles, the game comes with a host of improvements. It will launch on PlayStation  5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo switch on the same day. Xbox and PlayStation players will be able to run the game in 4k at 60 FPS. Anyone on a PS4 and Xbox One will receive a complimentary game upgrade if they already have the title. PS5 users who acquire the DualSense controller will also be able to make use of adaptive triggers.

PC fans will also be able to get in on the fun. PC players can access Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time via Battle.net later in the year.

The title will be available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S for $59.99 SRP. Pre-orders are available for the Nintendo Switch version for an SRP of $39.99. And the PC version will be available for $39.99 as well later this year.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is set for release on March 12th, 2021. Will you be adding this possible classic to your library? Let me know in the comments!
