Slowly drifting from island to island across a boundless ocean of trash doesn’t offer the most appealing visual environment, so Raft players have been striving to make their floating homestead look as furnished and presentable as possible. Fortunately, the Raft Renovation Update has finally arrived and allows players to make the beautiful oceanic cottage of their dreams. The update introduces a host of new building pieces, decorations, painting options, and even new sea life to befriend you on your voyage.
New Fancy Building Blocks
Before, players had to rely on their creativity to build a pleasant sea shelter with limited basic building blocks. Thanks to the update, the new building set adds much finer and more flexible pieces to the available selection. This addition allows you to bring a unique luxurious look to your home in Raft. However, keep in mind these blocks cost slightly more than ordinary building pieces.
Over 65 New Decorations
The Raft Renovation Update adds a slew of new decor for your home, including sofas, bathtubs, beds, candelabras, paintings, cupboards, and trash bins. Not to mention, the decoration’s model features different variations depending on which surface (walls, ceilings, or floors) you place them on. To unlock these new decorations, you must find their recipes via the metal detector, floating barrels, and crates on islands.
Painting Overhaul and Quality of Life Improvements
It is now possible to paint the different sides of walls, ceilings, and floors separately. In addition, you can paint almost every decorative and functional placeable object with two different colors instead of just one. The Raft Renovation Update even provides some quality of life fixes, such as “swatches,” which grant you the option to pick recently used colors, color combos, and patterns. Finally, there are improvements to the visual UI of painting and building.
New Charming Wildlife
Minus the land animals, the shark isn’t much to keep you company when sailing the sea. Luckily, the update has added a glorious pack of lovely animals to accompany you on your adventure. From time to time, friendly whales, turtles, dolphins, stingrays, and even jellyfish will drop by to give you a warm greeting.
Revamped Assets and Engine Controls
In the past, Raft players would have to separately manage each Engine on their boat. Now, a new piece of machinery will provide the option to easily control the on/off state and direction of all Engines from any location. Lastly, many assets within the game have received a refresh in their visual appearance. For example, building blocks now have softer edges and cleaner up wood designs. Placeable objects have also had their textures modified to better harmonize with the updated visuals of the game.
