Performing an exorcism and exorcising ghosts out of your own home has appeared in two previous BitLife challenges. This includes the current ongoing Demon Slayer Challenge. If you want to finish that challenge as quickly as possible or just want to live your life as an exorcist, we’ll guide you on this holy path.

(Updated on July 27, 2024 – Fact-checked and clarified the steps to perform an exorcism).

How to Perform an Exorcism in BitLife

bitlife spirit exorcism

To perform an exorcism, you will need to own a haunted house where spirits appear. These spirits can be random, but your character’s deceased family members can also appear in the house randomly. The number of ghosts that show up in the house is determined by how haunted the house is, which you can see when you purchase the house. Note that if you are married, your partner will likely not support you in buying a haunted house.

Once you buy a haunted house, you will see a “Spirits” tab and a hauntedness bar. Select this tab, and you will see a list of the spirits currently in your house. Open the ghost’s profile, and you will be given the option to exorcise it or summon it. If you pick the exorcise option, you will then have the choice to exorcise the ghost yourself or hire someone.

Spirits have a friendliness and activeness stat that determines how likely the ghost is to attack you when you exorcise it. If you fail an exorcism, the ghost will become more active and less friendly. However, if you do not exorcise the spirit and just let it roam free in your house, it has a chance to attack you. You also have a random chance of developing diseases such as PTSD, high blood pressure, or a heart attack in extreme cases.

It is important to either exorcise the spirit or sell your house to prevent this from happening. Once you become an exorcist and perform your first exorcism, you will be a step closer to completing the fifth and final task of the Demon Slayer Challenge in BitLife. Also, remember that it might take a while for the exorcist occupation and haunted houses to appear. If you don’t see them showing up, keep aging and checking the occupations and real state tabs.
