Questing in the new MMO New World will take you to several interesting locations and put you against tough enemies. Sometimes, though, you might get turned around and not know where to find certain enemies, which is especially bad if they are tied to a quest. One such example of this is Boatswain Ambrose, a target that many players have struggled to find due to a slight oversight in the map. Luckily, I can provide a bit better direction. This guide will show you where to find Boatswain Ambrose in New World.
Where to Find Boatswain Ambrose in New World
The Quest “One Threat at a Time” will task you with taking down two undead pirates: Boatswain Ambrose and Quartermaster Zebulon. Zebulon isn’t that difficult to find (there is a reason the guide isn’t about him), just follow the marker on your map and you’ll find him. Ambrose is a bit more difficult because of the verticality of the location that you find him in. Nyhart’s Anchorage has several buildings and houses that go up, with several flights of stairs. Because the map is looking from a top-down perspective, you don’t know what level he is on. It may appear that you are standing in the right spot, but if you have wood under your feet, you are too high up. You have to make your way down to the bottom of the anchorage, below the boardwalk, and through a small archway on ground level.
Once on the ground, following the marker should get you to Boatswain Ambrose. He is fairly tough if you aren’t prepared and will have a few enemies with him, so make sure that you are ready for a fight. Once you have killed him and his fellow pirate Zebulon, you will be able to turn in your quest and claim your reward. Good luck and happy hunting.
