Far Cry 6 has finally allowed players to take a stab at putting an end to Anton Castillo’s regime. Alongside your allies within the Libertad resistance group, you’ll put a stop to Anton’s various operations alongside some of the local resistance groups. Alongside your allies, you can also get Amigos, pets who provide some serious distractions or carnage on the battlefield. One such Amigo who can be easily missed is Chicharron, a pet rooster who’s more deadly than you may expect. Here’s how you can unlock Chicharron in Far Cry 6!

(Updated on August 1, 2024 – Fact-checked and fixed inconsistencies).

How to Unlock Chicharron in Far Cry 6

Far Cry 6 Alvarez Farm

First of all, you’ll need to make your way to Alvarez Farm. This is located within Sierra Perdida along the Vacia Coast (I suggest clearing out the nearby checkpoints while you’re here). If you’re having trouble finding it, use the above image to make your job a tad easier. Once there, speak with the owner of the chickens, then embark on your quest with Chicharron.

Far Cry 6 How to Unlock Chicarron

To unlock Chicharron as an Amigo, you’ll need to complete three missions with him. This will involve helping him take out a team of experimental attack dogs (they’re the furthest from cute, let me tell you), helping him clear out a Soldado-controlled intel building, and destroying a fortified monument of Anton Castillo. I don’t want to spoil things any further, though, as these missions are arguably some of the most enjoyable in the game. Thanks in part to both hilarity and carnage. Once you finish the third mission, though, and destroy the monument, you’ll acquire Chicharron as an Amigo in Far Cry 6! Now get out there and take out bases with your new rooster friend.
