Call of Duty: Vanguard only released Friday, and fans of the franchise are all over this year’s entry. As Sledgehammer Games is continuing its trend of World War-era shooters, many fans are eating it up for its beauty and overall gameplay loop (with perhaps a little toxicity here and there). While many have been thoroughly enjoying their experience though, some have been running into packet burst errors which have been impacting gameplay. If you’re one of those people, we’re here to help. Here’s how to fix packet burst issues in Call of Duty: Vanguard!
How to Fix Packet Burst in Call of Duty: Vanguard
First things first, let’s get the easy steps out of the way. If you’ve already tried things relating to your router, feel free to skip this paragraph. If not, then there are a few things that should be tried first. Of course, you should attempt to restart your console or PC as that may take care of it on its own. If it doesn’t though, then it’s suggested that you unplug your router, wait 30 seconds, then plug it back in. This will refresh it, thus potentially making it run more smoothly rather than after extended periods of use. You could also switch to a wired internet connection instead of wireless, as wireless is infamous for being much less consistent. And finally, make sure there isn’t anything else taking up bandwidth while you play. This could be the streaming of videos or movies, downloads, or things of the sort.

With that out of the way, if you’re still running into issues, some have suggested disabling on-demand texture streaming in your settings. If you’re having trouble finding it, it’s located under the Graphics section. This hasn’t been proven as a fix, though some users have reported it working for them.
