Zubat is a Poison and Flying-type Pokemon first introduced in Generation I in Pokemon Red and Blue. It evolves into Golbat, which then evolves into Crobat. Each evolution has different requirements that you must meet. By the end of this guide, you will learn how to evolve Zubat in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
How to Evolve Zubat in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl
If you do not yet have Zubat, there are numerous locations you may explore. Some of the most common areas to find Zubat include Oreburgh Gate and Mine, Ravaged Path, Wayward Cave, and all floors of the Lost Tower. You may also rarely encounter Zubat on Iron Island and multiple routes throughout certain times of the day.
Zubat evolves into Golbat, starting at level 22. You do not need to wait until a certain time or have any specific items to trigger the evolution. You also do not need to trade Zubat with other players to evolve it. However, leveling up Zubat to level 22 will require some grinding. Zubat can hold a Lucky Egg that adds increased EXP after battles to speed up the leveling process. If you do not have a Lucky Egg, you can find wild Chansey’s, which have a chance of holding either a Lucky Egg or an Oval Stone. You may also search for a Lucky Egg at Acuity Lakefront in the Grand Underground.
After evolving your Zubat into Golbat, you can evolve it into Crobat. To do this, you must level up Crobat with high friendship. Travelling and battling with your Golbat will increase your friendship over time. Additionally, you can give it a Soothe Bell. If you do not already have a Soothe Bell, you may obtain one from a maid in the Route 212 Pokemon Mansion.
Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are available on Nintendo Switch.
