Elden Ring How to Complete Ryas Questline
This article is over 3 years old and may contain outdated information.

While journeying through the initial southeastern wetlands of Liurnia of the Lakes, Elden Ring players will encounter Rya, a young woman who needs help finding her stolen necklace. Tarnished can aid her by retrieving her jewelry from a thug found at the nearby Boilprawn Shack, northwest of her location near a Birdseye Telescope. After fulfilling her request and starting her questline, Rya will give the Elden Ring protagonist an invitation to her home in Mt. Gelmir, the Volcano Manor. Depending on which route players took to reach the Atlus Plateau, the Rya can next be found at the Lux Ruins or the Grand Lift of Dectus.

Elden Ring Rya Snake Form

Once Tarnished have made it to the Volcano Manor either by teleporting or climbing Mt. Gelmir, they can formally begin Rya’s questline in Elden Ring by accepting Tanith’s first contract. After assassinating Istvan and Rileigh, Rya will relocate from the manor’s dining chamber to the second room on the right, appearing in her true form.

Rya is, in fact, not human but a Man-Serpent creature, like those who roam the exterior of the Volcano Manor. After she reveals her real name to be Zorayas, Elden Ring Tarnished can further progress Rya’s questline by discovering the dark secret regarding her origin story. Start by telling Tanith about Rya’s true form and then reload to speak with Zorayas again. Next, go through the secret passage in the first room on the right to reach the Prison Town Church. After opening the doors to the outside area, return to Zorayas to report the manor’s “dark secret.”

Elden Ring fans can advance Rya’s questline by giving her the Serpent’s Amnion, an item that can be found atop the altar in the Temple of Eiglay. Keep in mind that the Godskin Noble must be defeated to pick up the quest item. After giving the Serpent’s Amnion to Rya, she will relocate once more to a hiding spot in a room within the connected buildings past the Temple of Eiglay. From here, Tarnished have three ending options for Rya’s tale.

  • Speak with Tanith to receive a Tonic of Forgetfulness, which will cause Rya to forget all that she learned from the player’s findings. (Sad Ending)
  • Kill Rya to make her misery go away. (Bad Ending)
  • Defeat Rykard and return to Rya for the final time. Afterward, reload the area to find Zorayas’ Letter in her place. (Good Ending)

Elden Ring is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
