The Taunter’s Tongue in Elden Ring allows a Host of Fingers to anonymously invite Invaders to their world without the presence of Furled Finger cooperator. In other words, it’s a feature that lets the player live the Tarnished life on the edge by always welcoming the risk of being invaded at any given time. Typically, Elden Ring adventurers would need to summon one or two allies to be invaded randomly by a PvP-driven player. However, the Taunter’s Tongue removes the requirement of having other players present, granting the player and their “welcomed” invader a 1v1 duel.
Taunter’s Tongue Location & Use In Elden Ring
The Taunter’s Tongue’s location in Elden Ring is the Roundtable Hold, specifically the large lobby to the northeast from the central room. After players drop below into the foyer, they will be invaded by an NPC, who will drop the Taunter’s Tongue upon death. To use the tongue, Tarnished must consume a Furlcalling Finger Remedy beforehand.

The Invader of the Roundtable Hold’s entrance hall is called Mad Tongue Alberich, an NPC equipped with a large scythe and Glintstone Staff. He can perform various attacks and spells, such as a whirlwind slash and the Briars of Sin Incantation. Those who face this opponent near the start of their journey will likely run into trouble. However, those with decent experience in the harsh world of the Lands Between will be able to slay Alberich without issue.
Tarnished solo players in Elden Ring should keep in mind that the Taunter’s Tongue does more than just allow Invaders to enter their world. The tongue also allows more than one Invader to join the fray, as long as only one player cooperator is present. This means that a 2v2 PvP battle is possible by using this item.
Elden Ring is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
