Throughout Elden Ring, gamers are going to meet a very complex ensemble of characters, each usually having a complex storyline and background. One interesting Elden Ring character fans will come across is someone named “Dung Eater.” Dung Eater is a fellow cursed and tarnished that wants to be left alone with his corpses. However, players will be rewarded with precious late-game items by dealing with his quick temper. So for players looking to finish the Dung Eater quest, here is how to complete Dung Eater’s Questline in Elden Ring.

Dung Eater Elden Ring Quest

Dung Eater First Encounter

Players will first find Dung Eater after making their way to Leyndell Royal Capital and then traveling back to the Roundtable Hold. By traveling along the first pathway along the left, fans will eventually reach a room filled with corpses and Dung Eater sitting amongst them. He will inform gamers that he wants to be left alone to suffer from his curse.

After this conversation, go back to the “East Capital Rampart” and travel south to the next tower. Take the elevator down and keep exploring the building until fans find a “Seedbed Curse” that can be picked up off a dead body in a chair.

Dung Eater Cell

After acquiring this item, go back to Roundtable Hold and talk to Dung Eater until players exhaust all his dialogue options. He will eventually give gamers the Sewer-Gaol Key. With this, travel back to the Capital and use the key to free Dung Eater. In the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds, he will be located deep in the dungeon below the capital. Dung Eater’s cell will be in the sewer after the long hallway with the plant monster. After using the key and opening his cell, gamers will have freed Dung Eater and leave him free to spread his curse.

Dung Eater Boss Fight

After freeing him from his cell, travel back to Dung Eaters’ room in Roundtable Hold to find a message on the floor. This will read that Dung Eater wishes to challenge gamers outside the capital.

There will be a small river where fans can find the Dung Eater invader along the outer walls. There will be a giant crab in the water, so make sure to defeat that first so it doesn’t interfere with the fight. Once he is beaten, fans should be awarded the Sword of Milos.

Seedbed Curse Locations

Travel back to Roundtable Hold to find Dung Eater. He will be impressed that gamers were able to beat him. Dung Eater will then ask players to defile his flesh with the curse until it can bring an end to Order. That means hunting down four more Seedbed Curses, as seen in the images below.

One can be found back within the capital on a corpse sitting on a chair in a room filled with dead bodies.
