When you spawn at the beginning ofย V Rising, you must use the resources you have around you. You will start with stone and wood to create a shelter from the sun and simple armor to protect yourself. But you will need more than thisย if you wantย to get to the top of the food chain. Eventually, you will have to learn how to get much stronger metals like Iron to make armor, weapons, and even more sophisticated machinery inย V Rising. You will also require better equipment for yourself and your servantsย if you wantย to keep getting resources or other types of V Blood from the bosses.
Where To Find Iron in V Rising

Compared to Copper’s abundance all over the map inย V Rising, you will have a more challenging time getting Iron. Once you are around Level 35, you can advance to more distant areas of Farbane Woods and deal with the enemies in those areas. As you advance, you will encounter scattered Iron formations; their metallic gray or silver color highlights these. However, you will need at least a Merciless Copper Mace to farm Iron. Otherwise, it will be impossible to break the Iron node. You can also use the Bear form to farm Iron, but youย must defeat Kodia first to obtain this vampiric ability.
The best area to get Iron inย V Risingย is theย Haunted Iron Mineย at the center of the map, the southern part of Dunley Farmlands. You can sometimes find Iron in golden chests around the map, but your finds are solely based on RNG.
How To Use Iron
Once you’ve secured your Iron supply, it’s time to return to your castle. Here, you can upgrade your equipment and defenses, a task made possible by the Furnace. This tool transforms Iron ore into Iron Ingots, a key component for enhancing your gear. However, to unlock the Iron recipes, you must first defeatย Quincey the Bandit Kingย at level 37. Once you’ve triumphed, you can start creating Iron Ingots, and the Smithy becomes your ally, helping you upgrade your equipment.
You will have unlockedย the Servant Coffinsย and the Castle Throne by now. With both, you can send your servants to get different materials all over the map. Equip them with good weaponry and send them to collect Iron so you won’t have to worry about constantly farming the materials yourself. In the meantime, you can upgrade your tools and strengthen your castle.
