The Crusader is one of the six playable classes in Diablo Immortal. Armed with a huge shield and huge guts, the Crusaders serve as the party’s area-of-effect (AoE) dealer, stats buffer, and can often act as a scout too, thanks to its multipurpose Draw and Quarter Skill. Here are most of the things you should learn when you want to maximize your build output as the best Crusader in your Diablo Immortal raiding party.
As a side note, keep in mind that Diablo Immortal also has a built-in Recommended Builds system that will be unlocked at Level 33, the small icon located above the Cosmetics tab on your character screen. Every class has three Recommended Builds — two for PvE and one for PvP — along with suggested Skills, Legendary Items, Legendary Gems, and Set Items for each. Interestingly, every time you acquire a Legendary Gem, a Legendary Item, or a Set Item listed in the Builds, you will collect 10,000 Gold! It’s a decent way to earn extra Gold without putting too much effort, even if you don’t intend to use any of the Builds yourself.
The Best Diablo Immortal Crusader Build
Crusader Stat Priority
Since Crusader’s main stat is Strength, you’ll want to look for Strength gear to maximize your damage output. And in the early game, Fortitude gives you a decent amount of Armor Penetration and Critical Hit Chance as well, but the stat drops off kind of hard down the line. And lastly, disregard Intelligence.
- Strength.
- Fortitude.
- Vitality.
- Willpower.
- Intelligence.
The Best Crusader Skills
Draw and Quarter is the most important skill for all Crusaders to have since it is used as both a main Skill as well as a mobility option. When it is in effect, you can utilize a special Primary Attack that lets you attack while moving, and the damage will be affected by gear and upgrade bonuses. With that in mind, always cast other Skills that move with you before using Draw and Quarter.
Nevertheless, if you’re stunned or interrupted, you must wait until the cooldown ends. That means you won’t have an option to keep away from tough fights if you recklessly use Draw and Quarter. Not to mention that Crusader’s Skills have long cooldowns and small damage against single targets. Strategically deploying AoE attacks and utilizing Draw and Quarter is your key to victory.
- Punish: Good for survivability.
- Ultimate: Counterattack Storm.
- Draw and Quarter (Unlocked at Level 15): Essential Skill.
- Consecration (Unlocked at Level 20): The best AoE attacks you can have.
- Sacred Fire (Unlocked at Level 34): Use it to maximize damage instead of survivability.
- Ultimate: Burning Heart.
- Holy Banner (Unlocked at Level 38): An effective buff when playing in a Group.
- Shield Charge (Unlocked at Level 44): Good for stun-locking in PvP.
- Sacred Chain (Unlocked at Level 44): Good for stun-locking in PvP.
- Condemn (Unlocked at Level 47): Effective when playing in a Group.
- Conjuration of Light (Unlocked at Level 50): A must buff when playing in a Group.
