Destiny 2 How To Complete A Spark In The Dark
This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

One of the twenty-four challenges that Destiny 2 players are tasked with completing in the Solstice Event for 2022 is “A Spark in the Dark.” Fulfilling this challenge will reward Guardians with Event currencies such as Kindlings, a resource used to upgrade the Candescent Armor Set. To reach the max upgrade level for one’s Candescent Set, players will need to fulfill all Solstice challenges, including “A Spark in the Dark.” Guardians will also earn Event Tickets, which can be used to obtain various in-game cosmetic rewards. Accordingly, understanding how to complete “A Spark in the Dark” is essential for progression in the Solstice Event in Destiny 2.

To complete “A Spark in the Dark” in Destiny 2, players must “Complete Sever missions or rounds of Altars of Sorrow to earn Silver Leaves.” Silver Leaves can be obtained whenever a Guardian is equipped with Candescent armor. Players do not need to wear the entire set but can don the class item while keeping the rest of their build.

As mentioned in the objective’s directions above, the most efficient way to complete “A Spark in the Dark” in Destiny 2 is through Sever missions. Those who own Season of the Haunted can participate in Sever missions to progress 20% for their challenge. One of the best missions for quickly grinding through the objectives is “Sever – Resolve,” which takes less than a few minutes to clear. On the other hand, those who do not have Season of the Haunted will need to do Altars of Sorrow instead, an activity tasking Guardians with killing waves of Hive and Nightmares.

Once Guardians complete the Triumph version for all twenty-four Solstice challenges, including “A Spark in the Dark,” they will unlock “Flamekeeper,” a rare and highly sought-after title that is only available during the 2022 Solstice Event in Destiny 2. The event began on July 19 and will last for about a month, meaning that players will need to fulfill all the event’s activities and claim their rewards before the end of next month. Of course, the Flamekeeper title is one of many event-exclusive rewards that Guardians can earn for their character. The Solstice also features cosmetic Emotes, Shaders, Shells, and other unique items for players to obtain. Additional rewards will be available for those who’ve purchased the Upgraded version of the Event Card.

Destiny 2 is available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
