Pokémon Go features numerous rare Pokémon like Salandit that players are eager to catch. However, because of their rarity, they aren’t always easy to get. Not to say you can’t add the Alolan Pokémon to your lineup. It just might not always happen as quickly as you’d like. So, we hope our brief guide will help you get Salandit so you can enjoy walking around with this poisonous companion.
How to Catch Salandit in Pokémon Go
Salandit, from the Alola region, is a Poison/Fire-type rare Pokémon. You won’t ever stumble across one of these in the wild. The only way to catch Salandit in Pokémon Go is to hatch one from a 12km egg.
There’s only one way to get 12km eggs: defeat one of Team GO Rocket leaders. These leaders are Cliff, Arlo, and Sierra.
Battling these leaders isn’t easy, but it’s worth it when you want to catch Salandit in Pokémon Go. You must come prepared, or you’ll find yourself re-doing these matches. If you want, you can check out our guide to help win the battle against Sierra.
Before you even get to this point, though, you must find Team GO Rocket. This requires you to first defeat the six Team Rocket Grunts. From there, you’ll have the supplies to build a Rocket Radar. With this radar, you can then find the Pokémon Go Team GO Rocket leaders and get you some 12km eggs so you can catch Salandit.
It’s important to note that this isn’t a guarantee—eleven Pokémon, including Salandit, hatch from 12km eggs. So, you might have to get a few of these in Pokémon Go for a better chance to catch Salandit.
When you get your hands on one, you can only evolve the female Salandit into Salazzle when you feed her 50 candies. There’s also a shiny version available.
