After the success of the viral Colonel Sanders’ visual novel, it seems other brands are trying to follow in its footsteps, including the horror game Dead by Daylight. In the Hooked on You dating-sim-slash-visual-novel spin-off, instead of running away, you have to romance one of four horrifying Killers: The Trapper, Spirit, Huntress, or Wraith. This guide will help you romance and eventually clear the Spirit route for the True Ending in Hooked on You dating sim.
Regarding the Spirit, you have to remember that she respects individuality and doesn’t care about social norms. Be cautious when trying to dig into her past because while she is proud of who she has become, she is also sensitive about how she came to be. She is also proud of her bloodline, so while she despises her father, don’t make light of her family tree. With that out of the way, let’s take a look at how you should proceed on the Spirit’s route.
Day One Guide to Romance Spirit in Hooked on You
The opening questions on the volleyball court don’t matter. These are the only questions and answers that will get you into Spirit’s route:
- Superpowers: “Flight”
- Best subject in school: “History”
- Favorite animal: “Cat”
- Dream job: “Not work at all”
- “Hang out at the lounge”
- Drink: “Virgin daiquiri”
- Book to bring to a deserted island: “Dracula“
Afterward, try landing on Spirit when doing the Spin the Bottle minigame. And at dinner, do the Meat Carving minigame well. Regarding the Spin the Bottle minigame, though, it’s okay to “fail” and got the other Killers; as long as you’ve chosen the right answers before, you should be on track on the Spirit’s route.
Then continue on with the scenario. Pick the answers below when there are more dialogue options:
- “You’ve always been alone”
- “Nothing but darkness”
- Choose “Spirit” to tell the story around the fire pit
- “Hug her” when she gets upset
- In the hot tub: “Who cares?”
- Pick “Spirit” to accompany you at the fire pit
Day Two Guide to Romance Spirit in Hooked on You
- Go with Spirit to look at the “Black Lighthouse”
- Pick “Thanks” when she brings out the sunscreen
- Offer to help put on some sunscreen to Spirit
- Ask her about the “Glass shards”
- Then clear the Sunscreen minigame.
- When Wraith asks you to come with him, reject him and pick Spirit
- Pick “Unsure” and “Unsure” again when she asked you about the cherry blossom tree
- “Say nothing” when asked about your date
- At the fire pit, choose “Romance” as the story theme
- Pick “Spirit” again to be the one who tells a story
- Go to the lounge with Spirit again
- Choose to stay sober
- Choose the “Dark and Stormy” drink when asked
- End the day by picking any other Killers to eliminate except for Spirit
Day Three Guide
- Confess to her by giving the flowers to “Spirit”
- When at the Black Lighthouse, pick “Go up and maybe die”
On the Lighthouse, there’s a minigame where you have to keep your eyes on Spirit; try to do the Lighthouse minigame well. You will eventually be tested by The Trapper, and you have to answer his questions properly if you don’t want to lose Spirit, so pick these answers:
- “Rin”
- “Dragon”
- “Restaurant”
- “Black”
- “Not being seen for who you are.”
Now Dwight and Claudette will interrupt your date again, and you have to clear one last minigame. At the end of the game, for getting the Spirit’s True Ending, pick “Kill Dwight.” And that’s it, you’re done with Spirit’s route in the Hooked on You dating sim spin-off!
