Christian Slater will a villain in the upcoming Disney+ series adaptation of The Spiderwick Chronicles. Disney announced the production of the series back in November 2021. It’s based on the children’s books of the same name by Tony DiTerlizzi and Holly Black. The books follow twin brothers Jared and Simon, sister Mallory and their mother Helen of the Grace family. They discover that their great-great uncle’s home has fairies once they move in. Christian Slater will play Mulgarath in the Disney+ series adaptation of The Spiderwick Chronicles. Mulgarath is an ogre that eats people and wants the secrets contained in Arthur Spiderwick’s Field Guide to the Natural World. There was a 2008 film adaptation of the books that starred Freddie Highmore, Sarah Bolger, Mary-Louise Parker, and more. A video game adaptation was made on the books as well. Paramount Television Studios and 20th Television are producing it.

Christian Slater Has Many Film and TV Credits

Christian Slater has starred in series "Mr. Robot" and "Inside Job" as well as the films "Heathers" and "True Romance".

His first role was in the ABC soap opera One Life to Live at eight years old. He starred in the films Heathers, True Romance, and Interview with a Vampire. His television credits include Ryan’s Hope, The Forgotten, Breaking In, Dr. Death, and Mr. Robot. Christian Slater will return to television for the Disney+ series adaptation of The Spiderwick Chronicles. The Golden Globe Award winner has been in adult-rated movies and films for kids. His filmography is expansive, and it will now include a Disney+ credit with the series adaption. Production companies are bringing the books to life yet again. Christian later has been in live-action and animated projects, so his role in The Spiderwick Chronicles series is all in a day’s work for him. He has been the hero and the villain throughout his career, and this villain will be geared toward younger audiences.

There is no release date for the series.
